Description

From a 60 year-old parcel of Grenache in Nyons in the upper reaches of southern Rhône. These are terraced vines, on a steep easterly facing slope, with very stony soil made up of schist and granite. With the addition of cool winds from the north-west the grapes retain great natural acidity, making for a fresh and bright Grenache. Placed in a vat for 21 days as whole clusters, with fermentation by native yeasts, and aged for seven months in old Burgundy barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
